Botox

Botox is a drug made from a toxin, which, in small doses, is used to weaken or paralyze certain muscles or block nerves. It can help smooth unwanted wrinkles from the face, giving you a more youthful appearance. It can also help those suffering from TMJ, migraines and other painful conditions. The effects of botox last from three to twelve months depending on what it is being used to treat.

Dermal Fillers

If your goal is a smooth complexion, dermal fillers can be used to instantly fill and plump the skin, giving you an ageless appearance. Products like JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, and RADIESSE® can be used in areas of volume loss to plump lips, give the illusion of higher cheekbones, or remove wrinkles and creases in the skin. Dermal fillers provide a non surgical option with little to no downtime for those who wish to reverse the signs of aging and enhance their beautiful bone structure.

Trigger Point Injections

Repetitive motion and overuse of certain groups of muscles can cause MPS (or Myofascial Pain.) Trigger Point Injections offer relief for our patients who suffer from myofascial pain including conditions like migraines and TMJ.

Trigger points are sensitive spots on the body that develop in the bands of the muscle. These bands are known as facia and are recognized when knots or nodules form in the area. This can result in pain, swelling and even warming sensations throughout the face, head and body.

Trigger point injections are administered by injecting a fine needle into the muscle of the affected area for a period of 30-60 seconds. We combine this with use of 1% plain lidocaine or mepivacaine to numb the area to provide a more comfortable treatment for our patients, though the needling itself is what provides long term pain relief.
